In one of those ironies with which my life abounds, i have misplaced the link that has my distributor number embedded in it, so if it ends up being of more than passing interest get back to me.
http://www.zapworld.com
what's the point?
extended range, increased speed, makes it more of a legitimate alternative to a car.
i'm just back from riding my bike 3 miles from the plasma center.
the only bike on the road full of cars.
it was slow and i had to pedal.
if i had the solar bike, i would have a wider effective radius, and could make it all around the city, and i would be closer to the speed of the other traffic, a safety aspect, and my time is at least somewhat valuable.
Most people just can't be bothered with something they have to pedal,
but get people started on these at 14, factor in savings in gas insurance and parking, and they are a nice addition to the transportation mix.
Subject: solar bicycle
Do you really sell a solar powered bicycle?
Why? I mean, what's the point? Why not just use your legs?
Got a link?
cheers
It's a hybrid vehicle, you can pedal while the electric motor works,
you can let the motor do the pushing, you can recharge it at a solar powered docking station or plug it into the grid or recharge the battery by pedalling at home while you are online.
I'm basicly talking about the electric bike with a solar recharge station,
but zapworld also sells electric scooters, motorcycles, golf carts, a range of stuff.
thanks for asking.

Yeah. I know there is a danger of restricting speach too much. It's a fine line. I would prefer if everyone could self moderate. Which happens quite a bit, thankfully.
I guess what I'm trying to a void, and maybe I jumped the gun, is a dialog of:
"liberal!"
"reactionary!"
"democrat!"
"republican!"
"socialist!!"
"fascist!!"
That sort of thing doesn't add to the discussion and just pisses people off. I'd like to avoud that if I can, so I mention it when I see it.
You and jyoti are fine, though.

msn groups are also easy to set up.

Ahhh - thanks very much. I'll check it out today. Got loads of work to do today, three gig videos to edit down and burn to DVD. I've just had to buy another 120GB hard drive. I find it startling that I'm now moving into the terabyte storage range.

Again, I hope you don't think I'm being an arse-kisser but have you ever written any books about this (totalitariansim not sushi!)?
I'm intrigued cos it's a fascination of mine. It's why I can't align myself with Leninist democratic centralism. And yet, without d.c. as a mode of revolutionary organisation, any left group ends up going the way of P.O.U.M. or Luxemburg and Liebknicht. I've never seen it fully answered anywhere in any left literature. That's partly cos the left never compromises or settles arguments properly - it just splits up into increasingly tiny and impotent sects.... sigh....
Ah well, I'm rambling again. Thanks for the pointer to the sites and see you round on WWDN,
love and kisses,
Jyoti

I think we'll have to find another place to discuss politics cos my forum isn't looking too healthy. When I was registering you, I also upgraded to phpBB2 latest version. Now it's all gone doolally and I don't remember when I last backed up :(
eek!
I don't suppose you're an expert at php at all?

This is what I get for trying to run before I can walk, I guess. I'm beginning to realise just how far Wil out geeks me...
Can you suggest any other venues that don't prune posts. Or, like my board, wipe them all out at once?
love and kisses,
Jyoti
BTW - I'm enjoying the discussion in R&P but feeling guilty about having hijacked the thread. Should we quit and start a new one?[/quote]
